The courses outlined below are fundamental to understanding how we conduct research to ensure compliance with the various research governance frameworks, guidelines, legislation and standards of good practice.  The Research Ethics course and Good Research Practice course should be completed by all staff and students within 6 months of starting at LSHTM and repeated at a minimum every three years.  Good Clinical Practice and Working with Human Tissue are specific courses to be taken if you are working on clinical trials or working in the labs on human material.

This course is aimed at Researchers, Doctoral students and Professional Support Staff working on clinical trials.  It will also be useful and of interest to staff who wish to learn more about the regulatory framework of clinical trials.

Each of the modules has a book with chapters. There is an arrow in the bottom right of each page to move back and forward through the pages as needed.

There is a short GCP assessment at the end (with an 80% pass mark), there is no limit on the amount of attempts. 

This course is for all staff and students involved in research.  It compliments the Research Ethics course but focusses primarily on conduct of research and research integrity.  

This course is for Researchers, Research Degree students, MSc students, and any others involved in research involving human participants, their tissue and/or their data at LSHTM.  It will also be useful and of interest to anyone who wishes to learn more about research ethics.
