Online Learning Environments

You should have been invited by the Study team to join the LSHTM Distance Learning Students Discord group, this is a closed group which is monitored by them.  If you have not seen the invitation, you can request to join here. 

On the Student Zones each Programme has a Student rep forum, where you can contact your Student representative and Student Cafe forum.  Please note academic staff have no access to these.  You may also find that students on your Modules have organised WhatsApp groups.

In the General Zone on Moodle is a student network directory, which students can opt into, to enable contact outside of the VLE. 

The LSHTM Alumni office have set up an online network for Alumni.  You can sign-up for limited access to LSHTM Connect, whilst you study. This network gives you direct access to alumni from around the world. Through LSHTM Connect you can join a chapter group to network with people your area. You can also find a mentor or buddy and search our directory of alumni willing to help students by giving career advice and making introductions.  You can register for LSHTM Connect via www.lshtmconnect.org.

The University of London Student Experience Team have set up a Discord server, for students to interact and form student led study groups.  This is only accessible by University of London Worldwide Distance Learning students, look out for the invitation to join.  You will have to use your UoL e-mail address for security.
